S’PORE PARENT: WHY GIVE BIRTH & ALLOW OUR BABIES TO BE UNFAIRLY JUDGED?

Dear Editors,

Why Singapore lack local babies? I think it has much to do with the current system. Any responsible adult will know that bringing a new life into this country will almost always cause much misery to them. It will be fun for the first few years. They are all so adorable!

By the time they start schooling, they will be judged and grouped into classes according to abilities determined by their respective schools. Good guys (better academically) and bad guys (poorer academically) don’t mix. At a young and tender age, most children already know whether they are recognised or not.

By the time they reach take the PSLE, they will be grouped PERMANENTLY into Good guys or Bad Guys for LIFE! This is really sad. Why judge our very, very precious babies at such a young and vulnerable age?
