ACTIVIST SHOCKED TO SEE MAN RUMMAGE THROUGH RUBBISH TO FIND FOOD @ BUKIT BATOK

Facebook complaint by Gilbert Goh

Was passing by Bukit Batok Central and saw this man rummaging through the pile of rubbish left next to a bin. He was searching for food apparently as he went through each of the bag diligently and finally left with a leftover food pack. I was rather shocked as he looks quite normal and not like the typical elderly shabbily dressed digging through rubbish for food.

As we celebrated the accolade of attaining the fourth-time costliest tag in the world (for expats only) with everything that could go up in price going up, let us spare a thought for our poor and needy.

The poor will definitely feel the full weight of the rise in utilities and with no minimum wage in sight anytime soon, we may see more poor people going through rubbish bin for food.
