“You have to die first for me to buy HDB!”

That’s what my 25 year old male friend told his parents when HDB did not allow him to buy a flat and move out…

HDB has a rule that if you want to buy a flat and you are single and below 35 years old, the only way to buy is through the Orphan Scheme which means for both your parents to die.

See the cruelty of our government?

Why can’t they just allow their citizens to buy flats freely instead?
