RACE AND RELIGION ISSUES TO BE KEPT AWAY FROM PUBLIC EYE. GOVT WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO DO

Dear A.S.S. Edtior

PM Lee have come out and said that there are many issues that involves race and religion that have no easy or immediate solutions. He said that such issues should be looked into and resolved far from the prying eyes of the public.

PM Lee was commenting on the exchange in Parliament between WP MP Faisal Manap and PAP Minister Masagos Zulkifli. But, seriously, now that you have openly attacked and criticise a valid point raised by the opposition MP, you have actually made things so much worse. What you wanted, that is for issues to be taken away from the prying eyes of the public, have now played itself in the public domain.

Now, everyone will be talking about this, everyone will have their own opinions, everyone will have their own camps, be it WP or the Government. At the end of the day, it is not who is right, or who is wrong in the exchange in Parliament yesterday. It is about the general public now waking up again to race and religion issues, thanks to the very exchange in Parliament. You make a mountain out of a molehill, now it becomes a monster that will be hard to keep down. Well done!

So, the narrative is the same. All issues that government not comfortable with the public discussing, or the government have no ready answers with, keep them away from public. Government will tell you all what to do, and you do. No questions asked.
