TAKE 5 OUTLET AT JURONG POINT FOUND TO HAVE COCKROACHES AND RATS

Dear A.S.S. Editor

The Take 5 outlet, which is a subsidiary of Old Chang Kee, had its fast food cafe at Jurong Point ordered shut for two weeks after it was found to have cockroach and rodent infestations. The outlet will close its store starting Wednesday 5 April.

How can this have happened in the first place? How can a food outlet, situated at a spanking mall, have cockroach and rodent infestations. While we cannot discount the fact that food outlets will have their share of pests, to have infestations is certainly unforgivable. As a food outlet, a place where people buy and eat food, we cannot have such things happening.

Old Chang Kee spokesperson said that the company has carried out thorough cleaning at the outlet and will continue to work closely with their pest control contractor to increase the pest control visit to the unit. Let’s hope they eradicate this problem, and this will never happen again.
