DEPRESSED OLD MAN SITS ON BUSY STREET IN GEYLANG, CHAOS IN RED LIGHT DISTRICT

A reader has sent a photo of a distraught old man sitting in the middle of the road at Geylang.

According to her, the old man suddenly threw himself down on the ground as if he had been hit by a car. He sat there for a long time, attracting the attention of passers-by who advised him to get off the road for his own safety.

However, the man refused to move. At the time of the photo, police had been called and were on the way to the location.
