ANGRY TAXI DRIVER SUSPENDED FROM CALL BOOKINGS, BUT STILL ALLOWED TO PICK UP STREET PASSENGERS

Dear A.S.S. Editor

The GrabTaxi driver who was alleged to verbally abuse and physically assaulted his female passenger had his account suspended by the company.

A TransCab spokesman had said that the driver has been suspended for all call bookings and investigations are ongoing. However, the driver is still allowed to pick up passengers on the street. Police are also investigating the case, as a report had been lodged.

While it was commendable that the taxi cpmpany suspended all call bookings for the driver, it is still questionable as to why he is still allowed on the road. If he was really the aggressor as alleged, then shouldn’t he be taken off taxi duties while investigations are ongoing? True, driving taxi may be his job to suport himself and family, but he should have thought of the consequences before he lost his marbles and started physically abusing his passenger.

We don’t need these kind of abusive taxi drivers, who clearly has anger management issues. Take him off the roads, at least until investigations are completed, or unti he addresses his anger management issues.
