WORTH TO BRAVE JAMS AND EARLY MORNINGS TO STAY IN CHEAPER JB AND WORK IN SG?

Dear A.S.S. Editor

With everything rising in Singapore, and the expensive price of living becomes unbearable for most Singaporeans, makes me wonder, does living in Johore but continue to work and school in SIngapore worth it?

Water price going up, S&CC went up, car prices the highest in the world, parking charges went up, even buying milk powder also price went up. Homes? Don’t even bother to calculate. House prices are at the highest ever, even for small 2 bedrooms HDB flats. And our CPF will be kept by the government until we too old to actually use it to enjoy all our hard labour all these years. So, why not stay in Johore? With the price we pay for our houses, we can get a house many times bigger, maybe even with our own garage and backyard. Cars? Can buy two or even three for the price we are paying for our car in SG. Grocery and utilities are very cheap too.

So, is it worth it to wake up very early every weekday mornings, send the kids to school, head to work, and then return home by night time? Worth the commute and braving the causeway jams to save lots of money for future use?
