Dear Editors,

Amos Yee was granted political asylum by the judge and the sympathetic judge made it clear in his judgement that the Singapore Government persecuted Amos Yee to silence his political opinions. Using the charge of wounding religious feeling and obscenity was simple a pretext to put Amos down.

Judge Cole in his 13-page written decision, Judge Cole stated that “it is clear” that the Singapore government’s criminal prosecution of Yee for “wounding religious feelings” and “obscenity” was “just a pretext to silence his opinions.”

He stated that the political persecution was a criminal prosecution by the Singapore government and was therefore inflicted by the government.

Is this a slap to the PAP government and the Singapore Judges which handed down the jail sentence to Amos? Will our Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong sue Judge Cole for making false accusations against the Government and for contempt of our Singapore courts?

Amos Yee has finally done the impossible and check mate the PAP.. he did it all before he is 18 years old. What a genius!
