According to Mr Teo who was dining at the Chinatown hawker center, he was harassed by a very persistent tissue paper seller. The seller was roughly 50 to 60 years of age and went around the tables touting diners to buy 3 of his tissue packets for $2. However, when he was given $5, the seller gave only 1 packet of tissue and pocketed the change.
The tissue seller would purposely lean in closely to the diners and make physical contact with the unsuspecting diners by touching their shoulders or arms. This is apparently a tactic used by the tissue seller to irritate diners with hopes they would give him money to send him on his way. A lady diner was harassed by the tissue seller’s antics and hurriedly gave him $2 to chase him away.
