25 Y.O. VAN DRIVER ARRESTED FOR RAMMING INTO 9 MOTORBIKES @ BKE

A 25 year-old van driver rammed into 9 motorcycles along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) yesterday, causing the deaths of 2 motorcyclists and injuring 6 more.

The 2 deceased motorcyclists, aged 34 and 50, died on the scene. The rest were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The incident took place at Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards Woodlands near the SLE exit.

According to an eye witness, motorcyclists were seeking shelter from the rain under the flyover when the van driver bore down mercilessly on them. Men and machine were sent flying and blood could be seen on the floor.

The Singapore Police Force has cautioned netizens against circulating photos of the accident out of respect for the victims.

Police are investigating.
