Dear A.S.S. Editor

The art student who wrapped part of a staircase at her HDB block at Jalan Rajah has told reporters that she will remove the art work, despite getting praises from netizens. HDB and the Town Council had indicated that the art work is not lawful.

The student, Priyageetha Dia, insisted that she did it as an art piece, and not as an act of vandalism. The Town Council having said that the installation was unlawful, had nevertheless delayed washing of the particular staircase during the usual block washing, stating that they did not want to destroy the art piece, giving time for the student to remove it.

So it goes on again, the law always win, as it should. Too bad for art and creativity. You can be creative, but just not at any place or any time. Staircase of HDB block is a definite no-no.\
