Dear A.S.S. Editor
This might be nothing new in Singapore, as there are jams everywhere on the expressways every morning as we head off to work.
But today I guess is a bit different. There is a massive accident at TPE near Punggol, where normally the jam is of the slow moving kind. Today, some vehicles are just stuck idling, not moving at all. This lead to many roads in Punggol and Sengkang having bottlenecks, with cars not even able to get on to the expressway. Based on newspaper reports and reports on the radio, there was an accident that led to this massive jam. The accident, which occurred on the Tampines Expressway (TPE) in the direction of Changi Airport after the Lorong Halus exit, occurred at around 6.40am. It involved three cars and two motorcycles, said a police spokesman.
Apparently, two male motorcyclists aged 42 and 60 were taken to Changi General Hospital. While most of us are frustrated that we cannot get to work on time today, hopefully, the two motorcyclists are ok.
Please stay safe everyone!
