Dear A.S.S. Editor
Finally, in the year 2017, the government is pre-planning for bigger child care centres in new BTOs. The fact that government encouraging more couples to have babies, but no planning done to cater to needs of placing these young children in childcare centres once the parents go back to work shows how in touch the government is to ordinary citizens.
A former senior Director for strategic planning at the Ministry of National Development can even say that previous years, if there’s an empty void deck space, then they use it to build childcare centre. Now they are going to be pre-designing it. Stand up and clap? What kind of strategic planning is this?
Singapore used to plan things years in advance, that’s why we grew to what we are today. But, nowadays, planning consist of hoping for the best, then we are all doomed.
