CEILING PANE FELL DURING SCREENING OF LOGAN, EVERYONE THINK IT IS SPECIAL EFFECTS

A large 4 sq ft cinema ceiling panel fell during a screening of the movie Logan at Clementi around 1PM on 3 March. Luckily, no one was hurt but the cinema screening theatre where the incident happened has been cordoned off.

According to an eye witness, movie goers were watching an 11AM screening for Logan, the superhero film by Marvel, at WE Cinema in Clementi 321 mall when suddenly. one of the large panels fell down towards the end of the film.

“Everyone thought that (the sound) was special effects since it was an action movie. But then we saw that debris had landed on the front row,” said the eye witness. “Thankfully, no one was there. It was unsettling because it could have even killed someone.”

A spokesperson for WE Cinema’s parent company, Eng Wah Gloabl, said that it was investigating the cause.
