FIRE SYSTEM AT COURTS TOA PAYOH BUILDING SHOWS “SYSTEM TROUBLE”

With recently fire incident happened at Tuas, i became quite worry with something that has been haunting me ever since i started working at Blk 470, Toa Payoh Central.

I started work few months back and I was told by one of my senior colleague during a casual conversation, that the fire system for the building has malfunctioned for the many years!!She told me that few years back, there was a minor fire which broke out at Courts Electronic store, our neighbour building, Blk 460,Toa Payoh Central, and no fire alarm was triggered!! SCDF was activated and from there they came to knew that the fire alarm system for both buildings were linked and maintained by HDB Hub.

Few days ago, 22nd February 2017, my friend whom is a building safety engineers visited me at my work place and with his expertise in fire alarm system, he view the building’s fire alarm panel at level 1 lift libby and confirmed with me that the fire system is truly disabled!! And the block indicated on the panel shows “BLOCK 188” which is totally out (might have been taken and cycle from somewhere due to cost saving)!!

I truly hope someone from HDB Hub management can look into this as all our lives are now at critical stake if there is a fire breakout!! SOS!! SAVE OUR SOULS!!
