MOTORCYCLIST DEAD IN COLLISION WITH LORRY

Dear A.S.S. Editor

Oh dear! Today’s massive jam at the PIE this morning is reportedly due to a death on the road. A motorcyclist died after a collision with a lorry at the PIE in the direction of Tuas near the Adam Flyover at 6.19am.

According to the police, the lorry driver, a 54-year-old man, was arrested for causing death by a negligent act. The rider, Mr Shahray Suhaimi, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The accident caused to lanes of the PIE to be closed to traffic, and the jam stretched all the way to Jalan Eunos.

Condolences to the family of the unfortunate motorcyclist. It seems there are now more and more of such accidents, where a lorry driver driving negligently, probably in a rush to get jobs completed.
