A 17 year-old male teenager has died after a fall from the 4th storey of Orchard Central mall along Orchard Road today.
The incident is believed to be a result of the teenager trying to retrieve his handphone, which had dropped onto a ledge of the mall while he was trying to take a picture.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at about 4.05pm and that the man was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The teenager was pronounced dead despite valiant attempts by members of the public and paramedics to resuscitate him.
