70 year-old cab driver Woo Kiam Sing has been fined $5,000 for outraging the modesty of 2 nursing interns at Changi General Hospital.
Woo has admitted to police that he used his left hand to tap a 23 year-old intern’s butt twice on 17 February 2016, and smacked the butt of a 21 year-old twice the next day on 18 February 2016. Woo had been checked into CGH following a road accident at the time.
On 17 February, Woo requested to go to the washroom while the 23 year-old was doing a routine check at the ward. He tapped her buttock twice in the midst of her escorting him to the toilet. She was taken aback but at a loss and had no choice but to continue her work.
The next day, the 21 year-old intern walked pass Woo, who smacked her butt. When she stared at him, Woo smiled and said, “naughty”.
Both women informed their clinical instructor and internship supervisor, who advised them to lodge a police report. They lodged a police report on 19 February.
Woo was arrested shortly after.
Woo could have been jailed for up to two years and fined for each charge.
