Dear All Singapore Stuff,
Prominent PAP supporter Jason Chua Chin Seng has been issued a stern warning by the Singapore Police Force for publishing PAP propaganda on his PAP fanpage “Fabrications About PAP” on Cooling Off Day and Polling Day during the Bukit Batok by-election last year. Mr Chua is a fanatical PAP supporter whose blind devotion to the PAP knows no bounds.
Fortunately for Mr Chua, all he received for breaking the law was a ‘stern’ warning.
Singaporeans are not allowed to advertise for a political party online or appeal for votes on Cooling Off Day or Polling Day as it may influence the results of an election. “Left unchecked, such breaches can undermine public trust in Singapore’s electoral process,” was the reason given by the Singapore police.
Mr Chua could have faced up to a $1,000 fine, up to 12 months jail or both.
