S’POREAN VS MAID TUSSLE OVER SEATS IN VIVOCITY KOPITIAM

A foreign domestic worker, Icka, claims that she got into a tussle with a Singaporean woman recently in the Kopitiam outlet at Vivocity recently.

Icka, who has been working in Singapore for 5 years, says that she and her 4 friends had been occupying a table at the food court when the altercation happened.

They had placed their bags on the chairs while they went to order their food. Icka was left sitting at the table to look after their belongings. However, 2 Singaporean women approached Icka’s table and allegedly removed her friends bags and sat on their places, even though Icka claims there were empty seats beside her.

An argument ensued, leaving Icka angered at the treatment she received. She believes that she had been discriminated against because she and her friends are maids.
