#ScootSafe and stay on the correct path! As part of our regular patrols, LTA conducts enforcement operations against the riding of personal mobility devices (PMDs) on roads.
In one of our routine enforcement operations, our Active Mobility Enforcement Officers (AMEOs) stopped a woman who was riding her PMD on the road along Edgefield Plains, with her young child as a pillion rider. Her actions put herself and her young child in danger, and her PMD has since been impounded.
We would like to remind all e-scooter riders that it is an offence to ride PMDs on the road, and only bicycles and LTA-approved power assisted bicycles are allowed. We will take enforcement action against any rider found breaking the law.
