Dear A.S.S,
Yesterday, there was a disruption on the Downtown Line (DTL). Since I was already stuck on the train, I checked SBS’ twitter account.
They said that there was a “signalling fault” and commuters should add an additional travel time of about 10 minutes. Common sense means if I normally reach my destination in 20 mins, means I will reach in 30 mins instead right. WRONG! When SBS Transit said 10 minutes delay, they actually mean 10 mins delay at EACH FRIGGIN’ station.
While they cannot hide the fact that there is a train disruption, they should be up-front and honest about the delay so that we commuters can make alternative arrangements right? Or they think that train disruptions are a norm these days and they cannot be bothered with updating the commuters??
I simply cannot understand and tolerate why SBS decided that it was ok to just anyhow declare that 10 mins delay.
