A 31 year old man who picked up and returned a lost wallet ended up getting punched in the face by the caucasian owner of the wallet. The incident happened at Butterworth Lane in Tanjong Katong after the meeting ended in argument and police were called in.

The 56 year old Caucasian man had lost his wallet near his workplace and it was picked up by the kind samaritan who called him to arrange a meet up. Upon meeting the owner, the man took out the IC to confirm the owner’s identity but the owner attempted to snatch the wallet. This led the man to resist fearing it was a fraud trying to take ownership of the wallet.

The wallet owner hit him on the nose and an argument ensued. After the police arrived, a few other men surrounded the ang moh to restrain him. Fortunately, both parties chose to resolve the matter peacefully.

In this case, it didn’t pay to be a kind samaritan.
