When citishit decides to close a banking account, all information of it will cease to exist anywhere on your online banking. No records, no indication of a closure and account simply disappears like magic…
Only way to know is to call Citiphone, and cards center will insist to help you becos they won’t see that you used to have a banking account. So you have to do some useless verification & explain the situation before they finally understand that they can’t help you and transfer you to the banking side (despite telling them upfront you would like to speak to the banking side)
Approx 10 anxious minutes later, you will finally speak with a condescending officer whom will give you off the script response, without even being opened to hearing your side of the story first. He will cut you off, force his way and the “bank policy” onto you, before hearing anything else. No matter how you try to get your point, he will refused to hear you so be prepare to “fight”. Only after pointing out the obvious would the officer then realise the problem and agrees to work on a request.
The type of customer service you can expect when you maintain a minimum balance of $15,000 come February 2017.. ”
