ANGMO FINED & LOSE LICENSE FOR HORRIFIC DEATH OF 25 Y.O. MOTORCYCLIST

For causing a 25 year-old unlicensed motorcyclist to lose his life in a horrific accident on the Pan Island Expressway, Katie Maree Roberts, now 45, received a slap on the wrist with a fine and a 4 year ban from driving today.

Katie Roberts pleaded guilty to one count of performing a negligent act no amounting to culpable homicide, and failed to keep a proper lookout while she was driving along the PIE towards Changi Airport at around 4.40PM on 15 Sep 2015.

Because of her negligence, her car collided with Loh Lin Ken, a motorcyclist who was straddling between the two rightmost lanes of the expressway. Loh was thrown off his bike and swept underneath a passing lorry, which crushed and dragged his body for a distance as the lorry could not stop in time.

Paramedics pronounced Mr Loh dead at the scene.
