CHINA SAYS TERREX DETENTION IS LEGAL, WARNS S’PORE TO BE “CAUTIOUS”

According to PRC China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang, China’s detention of the Terrex vehicles was in accordance with the law.

This directly contradicts the statement issued by Singapore Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen, who said on Monday that China’s actions were not in accordance with international law.

Lu Kang also warned Singapore to be “cautious in their remarks and actions”, and added that China hopes “other nations, including Singapore, follow the one-China principle.
