S’PORE SHIP CRASHED INTO FOREIGN SHIP NEAR JOHOR

A Singapore-registered container has crashed into a Gibraltar-registered ship off Pasir Gudang Port, Johhor yesterday. About 300 tonnes of oil have spilled into the surrounding waters, said the Marine and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) today.

The Singapore-registered container vessel WAN HAI 301 had crashed into the APL DENVER by the Johor Port Authority (JPA) at about 11.50pm.

There were no reports of injuries and traffic in the accident. Singapore’s port operations remain unaffected.
