PARA ATHLETE AIMS TO BE THE FIRST TO TAKE PART IN ABLE BODIED GAMES

Dear A.S.S. Editor

Let all us Singaporeans get behind this incredible athlete and give our full support to her. She is an inspiring person, whether you are into sports or not, makes you feel that you can achieve anything if you try hard enough.

Para-athlete Syahidah Alim, who is suffering from cerebral palsy, is aiming to be the first para-athlete to represent Singapore in the SEA Games in 2017 in the sport of Archery. She had participated and won medals in the ASEAN Para Games 2015, and had also take part in the Paralympics in Rio. Now, she aims to be the first person to take part in a full Games, and she has already satisfied various qualifying criteria.

If she has qualified based on her performance, nothing should stop her from competing in the SEA Games. She is an inspiration to other less able athletes, and hopefully, she can fulfill her dream of representing Singapore in the SEA Games. Go Syahidah!
