Dear Editors,
Advice for those buying a Casio timepiece. Battery is not covered by any warranty. Basically if the watch battery is faulty the very next day after purchase, you have to pay for a replacement battery. Reason being battery depends on consumption? How much consumption can a user use on a watch? How as a consumer check the battery level at point of purchase. No answer given by the customer service officer. A case for CASE? Perhaps.. Just that not worth the time to go thru it.
My casio battery went dead in a few months.. went to the service centre. Was informed that the battery not covered under warranty even though the watch is less that a year old. I asked the customer service why is it so.. answer is battery depends on the consumption of the user..
My question would be how much battery would a user consume on a watch.. How at point of purchase can a consumer check the battery level?
Consumer protection pretty weak.. Its not abt the money.. but more of consumer’s rights.
