SHORT-TERM HOME RENTALS ILLEGAL IN SG, BUT AIRBNB STILL ADVERTISE

Dear A.S.S Editor

I thought short-term home rentals in Singapore are illegal? How come AirBnB dare to market themselves in Singapore? One website even has a list of the top ten home rentals in Singapore!

The website, pastemagazine.com lists the home rentals in Singapore such as places at Boon Keng, Tiong Bahru, Tanjong Pagar, Geylang, Punggol, Orchard Road and Raffles Place, as good deals for a short stay when in Singapore. The article can be found here https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2016/12/10-stupendous-airbnbs-in-singapore.html

So, are short-term home rentals illegal or not? If illegal, why no action taken by authorities to clamp down on these people renting out their homes? Not hard to find who they are, mah. They are advertising their homes, for goodness sake! Wake up, leh, Singapore authorities!
