Meet Farhain Abu Bakar, Singapore’s first malay woman to pilot a commercial plane.
Miss Farhain is the First Officer of Scoot-Tigerair. She joined Scoot-Tigerair as a Second Officer last year. After she completed 1,900 hours of flight, she was promoted to First Officer.
Miss Farhain works with a captain and flies a Boeing 787 Dreamliner airplane which holds up to 300 passengers. The furthest destination that she has gone to is Jeddah, Arab Saudi, which is a nine hours flight from Singapore.
She is looking to complete 5,000 hours in the air to achieve Captain status.
