HENG SWEE KEAT BACK TO WORK AGAIN

Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat, widely rumoured to be in the running for the prime minister position before suffer a stroke in May, has returned to office.

He chaired a Committee on the Future Economy meeting, the first time he has done so since May, made some predictions on Singapore’s future. The committee is nearing the end of its work and will be releasing a report on its recommendations next year.

He said that even with economic problems looming, Singapore should be confident in its ability to overcome challenges.
