MAN FOUND MOTIONLESS AT FOOT OF BLOCK AFTER HE HITS WIFE DURING HEATED QUARREL

A 63-year-old man was found motionless at the foot of Block 737, Yishun Street 72 on Wednesday morning (Nov 16).

It is alleged that the man, Mr Ong Chai Seng, 63, had fell from his kitchen window. This occurred after a heated quarrel with his wife, Madam Koh Eng, 66.

Just before the tragedy, shouts were heard from the unit. It was reported that Mr Ong had hit Madam Koh with his walking stick. Madam Koh left their 12th storey unit and went to their daughter’s flat on the 7th storey. Mr Ong did not follow.

Their daughter called for the police. When the police arrived, Mr Ong was found at the foot of the block.

Madam Koh only found out about her husband’s death only after the police arrived.

A neighbour informed that the couple were going through a divorce.

Mr Ong man was pronounced dead by paramedics and the woman was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

It is likely that the Madam Koh sustained head injuries during the hitting. She also had bruises on both eyes and was experiencing dizzy spells.
