Mainstream media reported that 2 of the expectant mothers who were infected with zika while pregnant have given birth to healthy babies with no signs of microcephaly.
The Singapore Ministry of Health reported that there were currently no reported cases of zika-linked microcephaly in Singapore. As for the other 15 pregnant mothers infected with zika, they are closely monitoring baby developments and doctors are supporting them closely with follow ups and counselling.
Microcephaly is a birth defect where babies are born with small heads with severe developmental problems.
