THANK U GOOD SAMARITANS WHO HELPED MY FATHER WHEN A METAL GATE CRASHED HIS LEG

Hi,

I wanted to thank the good Samaritans who helped my old age father when he met with an accident on 31 October (Monday) late afternoon. These people left after my father was picked up by the ambulance, I do not know who they are and I have no means of telling them Thank You face-to-face. I really want to acknowledge their spirit of kindness and at the same time, hoping to share some love and positive vibes around.

My old age father met with an accident while he was performing his duty of a Security Officer on Monday late afternoon. His company had informed him to go to Sarika Connoisseur Building at 1 Irving Road for duty that day. When he was checking to make sure that the metal gates of the entrance are closed properly, 2 of the metal gates fell and 1 of the gates landed on his leg.

According to my father, some passersby who saw the accident quickly came over to help. There was a man who called the ambulance for him, another lady took out her umbrella to shelter my father from the scorching sun as he pinned down on the floor by the gate. Another man called me (time of call was 3.22pm) to inform me of the accident using my father’s mobile phone. I understand there were like 4 men around, however, my father was too shocked to remember all the details.

My father was sent to Tan Tock Seng hospital. Due to the long queue for operation slots and his swollen leg, he waited till this early morning before the Surgeon could perform an Emergency Operation on him. He suffered some abrasions, a broken ankle, and the Tibia and Fibula bones on his right leg are completely broken. I count it our blessings that the massive gates did not land on his entire body, otherwise the injuries would be even much more greater.

As the only child in the family, I am most grateful to the good Samaritans who were there for my father on that afternoon, My parents and I would like to say a big Thank You to the kind-hearted souls who were at Sarika Connoisseur Building at 1 Irving Road, on 31 October afternoon, around 3pm to 3.50pm. Your acts of kindness have left foot-prints in our lives though we have never met before. From the bottom of my heart, I wish and pray that your kindness will be returned 100 folds to you and your loved ones!
