SUSPECTED THIEF CHASED BY MAIDS, CAUGHT BY COURAGEOUS PASSER-BY

On Oct 27, a man allegedly broke into a home in Frankel Estate and attempted to escape with a handbag containing 820 British pounds.

Two maids ran after him with bricks in their hands.

Mr Eugene Goh happened to drive by the scene when one of the maids waved for him to stop.

She asked Mr Goh for help, saying, “He has taken the money inside the house. Help me sir, help me please! Our employer is not there.”

Mr Goh managed to subdue the fleeing man. He was subsequently handed over to the police. He has been charged.
