SELFISH DRIVERS PARKED AT SHELTERED PORCH DURING THUNDERSTORM, GRANDMA FORCED TO ALIGHT IN THE RAIN

Dear Editors,

Today, 28 October 2016 at around 5pm, it was raining heavily at edgefield plains, punggol. Below our house, there was a shelter mainly for pick up/drop off.

As we were heading out and it was raining, my dad decided to drive from the MSC to the shelter to it would be more convenient for us, however upon reaching the shelter, he realized that the cars in the photos attached were obviously blocking the shelter and hindered people from alighting and boarding the car.

He also noticed as a taxi was approaching, an elderly women dropped off and was affected and drenched. The problem with this was that, the drivers were extremely inconsiderate to park their cars there and affected people that really need to drop off or board.

What if an elderly falls because the floor was wet? And he/she gets drenched and fall sick. The purpose of the shelter is to prevent people from being drenched, and not for cars to park there. They can park at the multi-story carpark instead.Just don’t understand how people are so selfish and inconsiderate
