Samsung just announced that all Galaxy Note 7 users will either get full refund or are able to exchange for a S7 Edge and refund abit of money.
Assuming you STILL wanna support Samsung, don’t be stupid and accept the exchange for a S7 Edge. Rumours say that the upcoming S8 is coming early 2017 (probably february or march) and if you get a S7 Edge now, you are essentially getting a soon to be obsolete phone.
I recommend you take up the FULL REFUND, keep your money and wait till the new S8 launches. In the meantime, just use a lousy smartphone to wait out these few months. Of course this also depends on how the telco is gonna manage your contract, and how much Samsung will refund if you go FULL REFUND.
To state the obvious, if you wish to stay with Samsung, better pray that the upcoming S8 also doesn’t come with an explode functionality.
Just some friendly advice for Singaporean consumers
