On Friday afternoon (14 October 2016), Singapore’s blogfather Mr Brown posted a warning on Facebook advising those who visit the Sungei Buloh Nature Reserve to stay alert when jogging or walking because a friend of his had spotted a crocodile just metres away from the walking track.
While people will be understandably concerned with the presence of an adult crocodile so near to the jogging track which is used by Singaporeans, it is good to realise that Sungei Buloh is a crocodile’s natural habitat and it is only common to see them.
As long as precautions are taken, joggers stay alert during their runs in the nature reserve and stay clear of the crocodiles, it should be safe. However, one netizen did speculate that the crocodile looked huge and estimated it to be between 3 to 4 metres long.
