MP WORKING WITH HDB & NEA TO HELP STALL OWNERS AFFECTED BY FIRE

It was most unfortunate that the market at Blk 493 Jurong West St 41 was engulfed in fire this morning at about 2:30am. It was fortunate that no one was injured.

The residents at nearby HDB blocks were evacuated as a precaution but they had since allowed to return to their home.

The market and the two neighbouring coffee shops have to be closed for quite a while. Meanwhile, I am working with HDB & NEA to help the tenants find alternative stalls to minimise the impact.
