Yesterday’s report of a toddler undergoing surgery after getting rammed by a reckless e-scooter at the Marina Bay Sands area was met by outrage from local netizens. One eyewitness Leon Li came forward and shared more details on what happened that night. The girl was allegedly rammed by a Pokemon Go player on an e-scooter who was chasing after the rare pokemon Lapras.

This was what Leon had to say in full:
“I was there and people were running for Lapras. The girl was crying in her father’s arm and I heard him shouting he was calling for ambulance.
And to all parents, please refrain bringing your kids to MBS to hunt for Pokemon. You already knew the overwhelming crowd over there and yet you still bring your kids there to hunt for Pokemon. You are partly to be responsible too.
Even stampede might happen. Humans step over humans. Escooter is just one of the cause of mishaps. So the safest way is not to bring children and old people go catch Pokemon.
And don’t say I will get karma when I have my own kids cause I already knew the consequences.”
