25 Y.O. MAN KILLS OWN FATHER IN SAVAGE ATTACK

25 year-old Sabri Aslam appeared in court today after allegedly beating his ownn father, Mr Aslam Alodin, 60, to death in his Bishan Housing Board flat between 8PM and 8.22PM last Saturday.

Police said they responded to the incident at about 8.20PM on Saturday. Paramedics found the victim at the scene at about 9PM and pronounced him dead. There were no visible injuries on the victim.

Neighbours reported hearing commotion from the flat where the family lived. Sometimes, the fighting became so intense, police officers would visit the flat.

The incident happened at the Golden Jasmine studio apartments – a housing project designed for the elderly and consisting of 176 units.

Sabri has been remanded for psychiatric assessment. The case will resume on 17 Oct.
