COURT IN LAUGHTER WHEN CHEW ENG HAN TESTIFIED ABOUT SUN HO

The appeal hearing for City Harvest Church is ongoing today. CHC is accused of misappropriating S$50 million worth of church funds. S$24 million of this was spent on Sun Ho’s singing career, which included lavish and wasteful spending on Sun’s luxurious lifestyle in the US.

Former fund manager Chew Eng Han took the stand today and testified about Sun Ho. He said that he thought that the pastor’s 44 year old wife was a “mega-star” and that she could evangelise with her songs if she was successful.

But in reality, the church had bought up unsold stock of Sun’s albums to make her seem successful. Chew says he even donated S$1 million to the church and was brainwashed by Kong Hee like other members to believe Sun Ho was a success.

The court broke out into hysterical laughter when Chew Eng Han said, “If this was a conspiracy, it is the worst thought-out conspiracy ever”.

To which, the judge replied “It looks that way to me too.”
