HONDA VEZEL & FIT MODELS RECALLED IN JAPAN FOR FIRES, COLLISIONS

Honda Motor Co. Japan recalled batches of 160,000 Fit subcompact and Vezel sport-utility vehicles recently due to defects, international news agency Bloomberg in Japan reported.

Honda claims that none of the defects can be fond in vehicles sold outside Japan.

This follows 6 fires related to flaws in the electronic control system and 2 collisions that may have been a result of flaws in the power steering. There were no injuries or deaths as a result of these incidents.

The models affected were produced between August 2013 and February this year.
