A shopper at Tampines Giant alerted fellow netizens to a case of minced pork being placed together with halal minced chicken on the shelves. According to another who responded, they said occasionally you will see something like this and he believe someone is trying to discredit Giant or someone who have attitude problems with Muslims. Giant management had many times put up notices reminding customers against doing these but it always happened again.
The contributor Devilprizon Mamat said on Facebook: “To all Muslims staying near Giant Tampines Mart … non-halal meat pack spotted at the Halal Meat section. Be extra alert when purchasing your meat.”
Others were less suspicious of the situation and suggested It can be some people who took the pork and then changed their mind buying them and place it there and lazy to put it back to the pork shelves.
