6 TERROR SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED ROCKET ATTACK AGAINST MARINA BAY SANDS

Indonesian media reported that 6 terror suspects were arrested for trying to hit Singapore’s Marina Bay with a rocket they intended to fire from Batam island. The suspects were aged 19 to 46 and were apprehended by Indonesia’s elite counter terrorism squad DS88.

Senior police official Boy Rafli Amar confirmed media reports that they were holding 6 people. The report identified the six suspects as Gigih Rahmat Dewa, 31, Trio Syafrido, 46, Eka Saputra, 35, Tarmidzi, Hadi Gusti Yanda, 20, and M Tegar Sucianto, 19.

The 6 suspects are said to have links to Bahrun Naim, the mastermind behind the attacks in central Jakarta in 2016.
