I searched the man's name and couldn't believe what I found. Zulfikar Shariff who was arrested under the ISA for terrorism-related activities has been spewing support for terrorists since 2001 when the September 11 attacks took place.
Back then, Zulfikar Shariff was the CEO of extremist website Fateha.com. On the now-defunct webite, he expressed his support for Osama Bin Laden who orchestrated the attacks on the twin towers. He was unhappy that Arab leaders in the Middle East did not seized the opportunity gifted by Osama Bin Laden to destroy Israel and the United States.
Zulfikar wrote on his website: "Osama Bin Laden’s terrorist attack on 9/11 was an opportunity squandered by the Arab and Muslim world to galvanize its masses to the total eradication of internal and external threats, the most important being Israel’s occupation and daily murder of Palestinians.
Instead of a proactive forceful approach to unify the world in the eradication of the root causes of “terrorism” against the West which is primarily the American supported terrorism of Israel in total violation of the United Nations and world peace, instead of coming to the grieved American people and educating them as to why terrorism finally hit their shores, the Arab leaders cowered and withdrew even further as doormats to Bush, Israel and company."
After more than 15 years, Zulfikar Shariff has not changed one bit, he is still the same uncompromising man who believes that violence can solve problems.
Do a simple search on the internet and you will find complaints about Zulfikar's recent extremism and support for ISIS terrorists.
In 2014, Zulfikar Shariff proclaimed his support for ISIS and called for Allah to protect his ISIS brothers and sisters.
How the authorities tolerated this extremist in our country for so many years is just puzzling. Just Google his name and there is so much evidence online showing Zulfikar Shariff's diehard support for terrorists. For one I am glad the government finally got off their lazy asses to take action against this dangerous character.
