This week, together with several other founding members, I have completed my second and final term with the Media Literacy Council.
I would especially like to pay tribute to Prof Tan Cheng Han, the outgoing founding Chairman, who these 4 years had the difficult task of managing a council made up of members with disparate ideological and political leanings, as well as communicating our thoughts to the Media Development Authority.
On a sadder note, my heart goes out to the trolls who have campaigned very hard for me to be sacked from the MLC. Whatever are you going to do now? How are you going to fill your time? I do hope you all find new purposes in your lives.
I look forward to the appointment of a new chairman of the MLC. Whoever it may be, now more than ever, the Wild West of the Internet needs strong policing.
