Bukit Batok has experienced yet another case of a crane ramming into a sheltered walkway meant for residents.
According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force, they responded to a call at 2:57PM today at Bukit Batok Street 52 near blocks 504 and 506. A crane mounted onto a lorry had rammed into a sheltered walkway between the blocks, causing it to topple dangerously to one side.
No one was injured.
Police are investigating the incident.
This is the second such freak accident in 2 months. The previous incident took place last month 17 June when a lorry with a crane also hit another sheltered walkway, causing the roof of the walkway to collapse completely. Fortunately, no one was injured during both incidents.
